I followed the advice, rebooted my computer and then reinstalled GE, or rather started the process. Eventually realised from the FAQ that the problem might be GE which demanded an update but wouldn't. I had a problem installing the new map update. Nuvi 2599LMT-D, oregon 700, basecamp, memory-map. Nevertheless it allowed me to download all the new maps and firmware to device and computer, just fine. When I launch GE, it says that a new version (7.0.1.0) is available, and there are two buttons - Install now, and Don't install now. (That's good - it won't bring me new problems !) My Garmin Express doesn't update itself automatically. Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Have you tried to update your map etc though? That's when you may have to accept the update as (normally) Express then insists you update.Īll I have done previously is hit the 'Not now' button (including today) to give you 'beta testers' time to sort it out and tell me it's OK. Then how on earth can I still be running V6.21.0.0 by the process of clicking the 'Not now' button? No, it's what Garmin deem a 'critical update' so you have to update. Is it possible to run it without it updating itself? Very frustrating to update and GE to keep showing that update is still available to install. You have to disconnect the PND from GE Express and reconnect for it to register that there's no updates. Where do they get these developers from ? After updating both units it's still showing that they both have available updates, that the individual pages agree that there isn't. Worked correctly straight away on mine, no reboot needed Garmin Express v7 - latest release 7.17.3 Pocket GPS World :: View topic - Garmin Express v7 - latest release 7.17.3 Forum FAQ Search Usergroups Profile Log in for private messages Log in Pocket GPS World - SatNavs | GPS | Speed Cameras: Forums
